Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson has a really interesting life. He started his career when he was a child. He was a black child with a huge voice. When he grew up he started his career as a pop star. When he was a teenager, he had a plastic surgery on his nose and this was the beginning a change in his look. He reached a point when he was the most popular and famous pop star. He reached a point when everybody in the world knew him and know his music or at least knew his name. After that Michael Jackson had surgery that changed his color from black to white. Therefore, everybody knew him. However, he is my favorite singer.

I Think She is The Best

There is a famous musician from Lebanon whose name is Nansy Ajram. This girl has a very nice voice. There are a lot of intersting things about this girl which are, she likes to help the poor people and she will never forget about them, she said one time. Also, she likes to dress very well to be good looking in froont of the people. Also when she has a concert and people get around her, she doesn't mind their taking pictures with her, not like the other musicians. The most interesting thing is that she made a lot of money that people can't count because of the concerts that she made all over the world. Finally, this musician is still young and she still got her successful job, and she still helps the people and supports her country in everything.

Soprano Soomi Joe

Koreans have a famous soprano, Soomi Joe. She has clear and high-tone voice. She published many musical records and gives a nice melody to fans. She is single now, so many people show interest in her personal life. For example, people wonder about her boy-friend, marriage, or leisure time. She has lived in Italy for 20 years and conducts her concerts all around the world. Also, she keeps on doing good work for children. However, she said that she has some problem, so she won’t have a baby. Maybe, God gave her a special voice instead of a baby.

Concert

Once I saw one of my favorite musicians` concerts. His name is HyoShin Park; I like his voice. I worked in this concert. So, I could see and be near famous people. Also, I have to make it so the stage is set up before people who have to sing a song. When I listen to his song, my feeling is very comfortable and i have a moved emotion. Usually I listen to the genre of sad songs or love songs. So, I want to go to concert. When I was went to the concert, it was very exciting. This reason makes me go to concert.

Music

A famous superstar whose name is Madonna has had an interesting life. There are several reasons that I envy her interesting life. Firstly, she can work and travel all over the world at the same time. This is one of my dreams, that I can work in every different country and visit its traveling destinations. Secondly, we all know that she is one of the richest people in the world. It is so easy for her to make big money; all she has to do is just to sing in front of her fans, and a big amount of money will be put into her pocket. I think nobody would dislike this kind of job. Lastly, she has so many friends and fans to support her. When she had a concert in a foreign country, the audience who had never even seen her before supported her just because of her amazing performance. So, her interesting life is so appealing to me because I want to have a wonderful job just like hers in the future.

In Korea, there is a singer. His name is TeaJinA. His living conditions are a little bit terrible. When he was 20 years old, he did too many different things. He was a dustman, a wrestler, and a cook. He went to the U.S. with his family. He lived in the U.S. for 2 years, and then went back to Korea. He wanted to start being a singer. He prepared for a record. However, his start was not satisfactory. His first album failed, but he did not abandon it. Now he is very famous singer in Korea. His son also is a famous singer. He can succeed because of his tenacity. Now he is very rich. When I learned about this story, I really respected him. I want to live like him. Sometimes distress is good for our life.

Favorite singer

There are many singers in this world and some of them are famous, some of them are not. My favorite singer is an Arabic singer and he is 40 years old; his name is Mohammed abdo. I like this singer because of his voice and his way of singing. When he sings more people feel the song aand they exactly enjoy their time too. In addition, Mohammed is a respectful man and he likes to help other people if they have problems and he can help. Most of his songs are about the girl's love and how it is beautiful. In addition, he likes to explain the girl's beauty and how get along well with them. Moreover, Mohammed abdo has his special way to sing that makes it impossible for anyone to sing like him and this is one of the reasoons he is my favorite singer. Finally, this singer has concerts everywhere back home, so everyboddy can go and attend his concert.

I really like a singing group whose name is BigBang. They are Korean singers. They are five people in that group. They are very young. They are all 20 years old. They write songs by themselves. I like them because they have passion in their work. They have a hit song called “lie”. This song in Korea is very famous. All the radios and coffee shops play this song for customers. The most important thing is they have their own fashion style. I like their style very much. Also, their fashion style is very popular in Korea. Most young people wear clothes that look like theirs.

Is that fault of Michael Jakson ?

All of people know Michael jakson, he is a very famous singer and dancer in 80s. His famous songs are “off the wall”, “Rock with you”, “Beat jean” and “Human Nature”. He is famous for spatial dance and robot dance. He is African American, but he want to change his skin to white color. He took years of emotional dysfunctions to change skin. At that time most of people criticized him and many newspapers published this thing. His unusual behaves gave people a bad impression. I think maybe he did some bad things in his normal life, but he is one of the best singers and dancers in the world. Not all of people are God, human will make mistake. Although he is different from normal people in behave, he is also different from singers in the world. Sometimes famous is the reason for make troubles because people will put their eyes on celebrates. When we hear some news, we shouldn’t always criticize him or her.

I Like Pop Music

A lot of American singers and banks are very popular in China. For example, Avril Lavigne, The back street boys and Alicia Keys. When I was in China, I like listening to their songs, especially “When you’re gone” by Avril and “As long as you love me” by back street boys. One of the most important reason I like music because I want to relax.
I think rock music is too nosy to listen when I feel tired. On the other hand, I like light music. Sometimes wards of songs explain what I’m thinking about. I always use music to show if I am happy or not. The Pop singers like life authors, they write normal life into a song and people use the song to enjoy life. Some music also give to me some brave and face my life again. So try to find your favorite music and make friends with them.

How is Musician's life better or worse than that of other people?

Anyone might once at least think about becoming a famous musician or actor. Their life looks happy and luxurous, with a lot of money and fame; also, they are being an idol of the young people. They enjoy their life and get the interest of various media like TV shows, entertainment magazines and reporters. I think that they'll be happy in their life, because they do what they want, they don't need to study, and they someimes easily earn money from different various ways. However, in some cases they are not. Their life always follows from a busy schedule and they don't have time to rest. Also, paparazzi trace them, so when they go outside, they need to hide or dress up to appear like other people. Furthermore, they get pressured by an obsession to maintain their fame. Unfortunately, some entertainers who lose their popularity get in the blues so that sometimes their life suffered from mental and psychological problems. That shows a contrasted case of them, but I think that their life is generally hard. -Moon-

The first time I came to Carbondale, I was wondering how friendly people were and who my friends would be in class. I also wondered if my English was going to work in a real situation. In my opinion, Carbondale is a very small city, quiet and friendly. As a student I feel very good because the city is not big and there are not a lot of cars and noise, above all. Before coming to Carbondale, I was looking for some information about it and my first impression was that the city was very small and most of the students are from Chicago, which is six hours by train. Many things have changed since I came to Carbondale. First, I don't have many friends and I have to spend most of the time in my room.

Using the Internet for business has become very popular among buyers. Today many people prefer buying or ordering online their products of interest. Nowadays, you don't need to go the stores to get what you want to buy, you just need to sit at the desk of your computer and order or buy your product or relevance. Using technology helps you save time and money as well.
Nevertheless, there are many things you have to avoid doing when you are shopping online. For example, some people might ask you to give the pin number of your credit card. Then, you can also have problem with delivery or mystery charges on your credit card. I am not an expert on business online, but you have to be careful when doing business on the net. Make sure the company is safe and try to get information about it, above all.

CELL PHONES AND USERS IN TROUBLE (TECHNOLOGY)

Cell phones have become very important in communication. Today many people craving for having the best and most expensive cell phone. Cell phones are essential in peoples’ lives. They play a key role in companies, schools, universities and families. On the other hand, cell phones can also get you in trouble. Sometimes, they ring when least expected. Frequently you can see that cell phone rings interrupt classes. Many teachers regularly tell students to turn this phone off when classes are being taught. Nonetheless, many do not turn these phones off causing interruption to the class as well as students’ distraction.
Today many places warn you to turn off the phones at the entrance by putting up a big sign saying, “ Please turn off your phone”. Some people prefer not turning the phones off. For example, in my case I don't like to turn it off because my family might call me for some emergency going on. Also, many things have happened when phones are off. For instance, some people have gotten stuck in the elevator and phones might not work because of the line interruption that is caused when you are inside of the elevator. Another example is when an accident happens; and you need to call the hospital or someone to help you out.
Many people are alive because of the cell phone. The cell phone has saved their lives in many ways. The cell phone is extremely significant.

EL Sesteo restaurant is a very popular restaurant in the city where i live. Many people like to go to El Sesteo because the food is really appetizing. If i could go now, i would order beef on the grill, which is delicious. Unfortunately, everything has two sides. You need to have much money with you because food is very classy and expensive. Some people usually go when theycelebrate an important event, birthday party or social gathering. The other point is that if you like dancing, you can't. They offer just slow music and it is very loud. Young people do not like going to El Sesteo because they say El Sesteo is boring and is just for old people, even though they do not doubt that the food is mouth- watering. They also say that you need to have cash in your pocket or you might end up doing the dishes.

MY EATING CULTURE




In my country, some people enjoy eating by using their fingers instead of the spoon. They say that food’s taste is mouth-watering when using their fingers. Nevertheless, other people say that is rude and disrespectful, using their fingers instead of the spoon. People usually like to have big portions instead of quality. Families usually eat wherever they want to, no matter if there is a dinning room. The place is not a problem. Nevertheless, some people like eating all together like a real family. Customs change from one family to the other. In my family, portion is very important, and when were kids, we used to fight for big portions. Today, we care about big portions, but we have grown up and fighting would not be a good idea. When visit someone, there is a strong chance that you will be invited to eat; it is not appropriate to refuse their invitation, because they might believe you don’t like to eat what they eat or you eat better food. If you eat in a friend’s house, you will have to eat with that friend, specifically in his house. Eating in his house is like a reward for being friendly.

HOMEWORK AND YOUTUBE



Many people say that two things cannot be done at the same time. Let me tell you that I like to type my writing homework and to listen to music or to watch videos in YouTube. I found it calming and relaxing. According to my experience, there are some aspects to take into account when doing homework and listening to music or chatting. First, adjust the volume and be sure you don’t have to interpret any text. Make sure you are not doing something that demands you to reflect your point of view or make comments. Loud music will not help you to focus on demanding homework. I also like listening to some music after a long class, because it makes me relax and puts me under sedation. Some teachers say it is not good to be doing two things at the same time. Today many students like doing both things and have a great time. For instance, a friend of mine says he can not study if he doesn’t listen to rock music. He says that he feels like music makes him alive and also makes him feel like he is not tired. Technology is so amazing that we as students or people cannot avoid using it. A few years ago, if you wanted to see videos you had to go to the movies or any other place. Today technology gives you an easier life. Sometimes homework is difficult, but you don’t even know it or see it because you are working under music’s effects. It is incredible how many things have changed so far.

RICE PUDDING

I have to be very honest to myself and accept that I don’t know how to cook. Nevertheless, being in the United States has taught me a lot of stuff about cooking. As the saying goes, “ Necessity is the mother of invention”. So, today I am going to share with you one of the recipes, which is my favorite, rice pudding (Arroz con leche). The first thing you need is milk, rice and some condensed milk. After having all these ingredients, you are ready to start. First, put rice in the rice cooker with some water. Do it in the same way you cook your rice. When water is absorbed and rice looks soft, put some milk on it. Then wait until the milk is absorbed to some extent. Finally, add some condensed milk. Some people like eating it when it is hot. But other people prefer putting in the refrigerator and getting it frozen. This is really up to your taste. Normally, rice pudding is eaten as a dessert and it very edible, especially during the holy week. As you can see, the procedure does not take up your time and the whole procedure is only takes 35 minutes. When eating rice pudding you will see that it is worth your effort. Wish you the best. Enjoy arroz con leche.

Stevie Wonder

I am going to introduce one of my favorite musicians. His name is Stevie Wonder. He is an African American. When he was born, he was already blind because he was born two months early. In 1963, when he was 12 years old, he had his first album. He had an obstacle, but he became very famous. He had special skill for music. His hearing is better than that of other people. This is a good advantage for a musician, but in his life blindness has made him very sad. He has a daughter. He want to see her with his eyes, so he decided to have an operation, but he only had 15 minutes for watching her. Some people say, he had a poor life but he thought that he was lucky, because if he wasn’t blind, he wouldn’t know music.

I’ve heard a lot of rock bands in the bars around Carbondale. There are some that I liked and some that I disliked. One thing that I will admit is that they really do know their instrument. If you want to succeed in the music field, you have to set up a band to get experience with the public. Most of them do that because they have to. They grow in the underground world and get more experience, as they need to be professional. They sing going bar to bar to express themselves and share their music. It is a necessary thing that anyone should do if they want to do music as a job. I would like to do that, but I still have some long way to go. In Carbondale here, they are not too many. Music in general is a treasure that we had as a gift and we use that to show our feelings, emotions and often pass a message to the public.

Rock music in Carbondale

When I had imagined about the U.S.A., I usually thought about Harley bikes and people who were wearing leather jackets and drinking a beer in the bar. I could hear heavy metal in the bar, and many people enjoyed a loud music in my image of there. However, when I went to the bar in Carbondale, it was different from my thought. Many people were just students, and they did not seem to really care for loud music, like heavy metal. Furthermore, not really many people enjoyed the rock band’s music. They were chatting with their friends and drinking a beer to enjoy the time, or the others were watching sports, like the Super Bowl. I felt a weird feeling how people can hang in a place that loud. It is totally different from my country’s culture.

Band music

I have been to the bar many times to watch and listen to band music, because of my friend. He is an SIUC student, and I met him at a party. Actually I was not interested in band music before I met him. However I was getting interested in band music and I like that music now. He is a singer in his group, but he is not nly singing but also playing guitar. In my opinion they are really good band, because they can make listeners dance and shout. I do not remember theother band group's name, but they were really good at play drums. When I was in Korea, I did not have any experience like that. It was my first time to listen and watch in front of me. That makes me shake my body, even if I do not know.

A Bar in Carbondale

I went to a bar whose name was ‘Copper Dragon’ and heard a rock band two weeks ago. It was the first time to hear a rock band in a bar, though I had heard one in Japan. The rock band had already started their performance when my friends and I went there. There were many people and they danced and jumped. We also did the same things and really enjoyed ourselves. However, I felt scared in one scene. I didn’t know the detail but I guessed one guy hit another person’s body or stepped on the person’s foot accidentally. Both of the guys were drunk and it was easy for them to get angry. One person who was hit raged suddenly and he hit the guy and they started a fight. Some security guard came to them and they were taken outside. When I saw the scene, I decided I should not drink too much. We can enjoy drinking and dancing in the bar, but the bar might be a place where people have a fight.

Music; rock band

I have seen rock bands twice at the bar in Carbondale. When I saw the rock band the bar was almost dead, even though it was Saturday. They were a U2 cover band. I like one of their songs. We paid to get in the bar, but they didn’t sing the song that I like and there were no people at the bar at the night. Second time, I went to the sane bar. That time they were not a cover band, they were a real band, Lucky Boys Confusion. It was very cool and there were many people at the bar. It was very packed, and people were dancing and drunk. I met some friends there too. It was fun drinking, dancing and chatting with friends and boyfriend. When we were among the packed people in front of the stage, people were dancing innocently and intensely. We were holding the drinks so we got soaked. It was fun, but it was very intense. The bar had pretty big space at the1st and 2nd floor and stage, so I like the bar.

Rock bands in Carbondale

On Friday night, I usually go out with friends. Around this area, there are only bars which we play at, so I usually go to a bar. Copper Dragon is one of the bars around here; I have been there twice. It is a bar where bands play music, so we can drink while listening to music. I have never been to this kind of bar in Japan, so on the first time, I was really excited with my friends. In this bar, usually copy bands play rock music and sometimes real rock bands come to play. Fortunately, on my second time, I could listen to a real rock band playing music. When real bands come here, the bar is packed with many people, so it is hard to get a ticket to get into the bar. To get the ticket, my friends got a ticket in line for me; finally I could get one. When we got there, lots of people had already come already, so it was very hot inside and it was hard to find a place where we could see the band. At first, we sat down on the second floor and listened to the music which they played, while drinking. However, to get more excitement, we went downstairs and then went near the stage. Most people were drunk, so sometimes drinkers had trouble, but we enjoyed ourselves with them. I think having enjoyment with people who I do not know is a good point on this bar.

Famous musician who had trouble with fame

I want to talk about famous musician who is Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson is in the world of famous pop stars as his music is still popular. But since 1988 his sexual harassment event has risen. Until 2004 he had been troubled with sexual harassment; finally he came to appear in court. His verdict was not guilty, but he already lost his fame seriously. There were some controversial issues about whether some people had targeted Jackson’s money or not. However, victims of Jackson’s sexual harassment were about a hundred people; also, Jackson’s one picture of shaking his baby on the terrace was issued. Then, he paid a lot of money for mutual agreement and court fee. His verdict was innocent, but his image damage was inevitable. I just know that he just has time to rest now. I think that his music will not come for a long period of time. I hopefully will listen to his music soon, because his music was nice. -Moon-

Fluency Exercise #6-Love story

One of the musical stories I have heard is Liangzhu. It is about a love story. In old China, every three years a lot of teenagers went to the capital of China, Jing City (which is called Beijing now), to take an examination and if they passed, they could work in the government. The top three would be honored to talk about the economy, the military and the future of the nation with the emperor. One of the teenagers was named Shanbo who was not very smart and not rich but hard-working. Another is Yingtai who was a girl, but in old China the girl was not allowed to enter the classroom or even the examination room. One day Yingtai was reciting poetry, which make Shaobo hear and admire. From that day they lived together and studied together, but Shaobo did not know Yingtai was a girl and regarded her as a brother. Fire cannot be folded in a paper box. Shanbo found out Yingtai was a girl at first he hated her because she lied to him, but later they fell in love. When Yingtai`s father knew this, he opposed the match of his daughter and Shanbo because Shaobo was not from a rich or famous family. Then he forced her to get married with a rich man`s son who was stupid. After Shanbo heard the news, Shanbo died of extremely grieved. When Yingtai received the death of Shaobo, she despaired and wanted to see his tomb. As she was crying in front of gravestone, a light suddenly came out of the grave and Yingtai jumped into it without any thinking. Later, there was a couple of butterflies that came out. They were playing and having fun. They are free now, and nobody would bother them or separate them. This story describes a moving but sorrowful love story. So many lovers want to be the same as them to love each other.

I have listened to a song; it is a Chinese song whose name is the most romantic thing. It’s a popular one in China, because it is created from a moving love story. Every time I listened to it, I felt there is a blissful atmosphere around me; I was moved by it. The story is about a couple of lovers; they met in the 1950s, and they were introduced by their parents. At first, they didn’t like each other. However, as time passed, the man fell in love with her, and did lots of silly things for her, especially signed a guarantee whose content was, “he will love her all his life, his sight will be all of her only, and send her to her office every single day, raise their children and love them, do the dirty and hard household duties by himself, etc”. This is not a joke; after they married, the man did this every day for about 50 years. When they were getting old and retired, he took her to the beach; they saw the sun set together and walked along the beach talking and laughing. Finally, she said that she got happiness for her whole life. He smiled and said, “the most romantic thing I can imagine is loving you.”

I really don’t know about a story that is set to music in my country. However, we have the most famous song that I think everybody knows. “Ton Mai Kong Por” or “Father’s tree” is a popular song for Thai people. We sing this song to celebrate our king a long time ago, but this song is still famous even now. The meaning of this song compares the Thai King to a tree, which can give a shade to Thai people. The Thai people love our king very much, because the king planned many useful things for Thai people, such as solving poverty, improving education, and developing infrastructure, etc. He is not only a head of the state, but also spiritual leader of Thai people. This song is popular because of its meaning. In addition, this song is famous because of the singer. His name is Thongchai McIntyre. He has been a very famous singer in Thailand for more than twenty years. Moreover, the company that composed this song is the biggest company in Thailand. This company has the power to promote this song and make this song famous nowadays. If you go to Thailand, I promise that you can hear this song everywhere.

Touching People’s Heart

I have listened to a lot of songs from pop music to classical music, from old songs to newest songs. There is a song, which is touching my heart even now. A few years ago, a serious disease “SARS” spread in Asia. At that time, all the governments in Asia tried to control this disease and pacify people’s concern. When people worried about this disease and lost their life goal, there was a group of people who tried to help the governments and people, because they thought they could influence our society a little if they did something. These people were Chinese pop musical singers. So, all the singers in Chinese pop music area thought that they should do something for people, but there was only one thing that they could do to help us, and that was to sing a song. They developed a new song against SARS, and its name is “Hand in Hand”. Also, the producer assembled 87 singers to sing this song. The purpose for this song was to let everybody know that they shouldn’t worry, and everybody would get together and fight hand in hand against SARS. The lyric tried to encourage people and ask people not to give up because there were still a lot of friends that who were always beside us. When I listened to this song, it was really touching in my heart. I think not only me but also all people may be touched when they listen to this song.

There are a lot of musical stories in this world; some of these stories are sad stories, and some of them are nice and happy stories. I am going to tell a famous sad story from Saudi Arabia, and this story has appeared in musical stories. there is a couple in Saudi Arabia; they always take care of each other, and they love each other so much; espically the girl loves her husband so much, and they have two kids, one boy the other is a girl. Also in the afternoon they always go to the farm so they can help each other clean the farm and take care of the horses and feed them. These horses are very good horses, and the women loved these horses so much too. One day the women wakes up in the morning so she can go to the farm and see the horses. After that he went to take his gun, because he thought that someone wanted to steal the horses. Then he went outside and the woman had covered herself because it was cold that night; from far away he pointed the gun at his wife's head and killed her, without knowing that she was his wife. After he went there and opened her cover, he found that he had killed the most important person for him, because they loved each other at very high level that would amaze people. After that night he told the world that the singer should sing it. He explained in the song how he was hurt from what happened and what h did that night. This story become very popular in Saudi Arabia and they made a movie for this couple too.

A Famous Musician who had trouble with her fame

I know a famous musician who had trouble with her fame. She is Britney Spears. Before she got married, she was the top pop singer in the world. She was pretty, sexy and gorgeous. But she got married to a dancer, had two sons, and stopped singing. During the marriage, she didn’t look happy. She gained a lot of weight and her husband spent her money a lot in parties or something like that. So, she always fought with her husband and finally she decided to get a divorce, although she got pregnant. After the divorce, she acted like a crazy person. She almost dropped her son, and sometimes she didn’t wear her pants or underwear. And she always went to the club for enjoying parties. So her husband took the babies from her. And then, the situation got worse, because she acted like a mentally deranged person. She cried in front of many people, shaved her hair by herself, attacked paparazzi and her mom, and wore strange clothes. So, now people don’t think she is a gorgeous person; this is sad.

What's your favorite singer?

My favorite singer is Neyo, who is an American black guy and very famous in the United States. I like his song because his voice is very nice. His song is R&B style and sometimes is featured with Hip-hop. Especially, his songs are very smooth and good to listn to and a make me feel good. One of my favorites of his songs is "so sick". This song is very smooth and a little slow, and he sings with a gentle voice. Also, the song's melody is very nice. That's one of my favorite parts of that song. One of the titles of his songs, "sexy love" is the same style as "so sick". That song I also like . And his one of famous titles, which is "because of you," is a little fast song, and I had listened to it lots of times in the club. Totally, I like his songs because his music makes me convinced when I listen, and his song is not boring when I listen again. -Moon-

My favorite band is Rhapsody. Rhapsody is an Italian group. A genre of their songs is melodic speed metal. However, Some people have called it called epic metal. When I was in high school, I listened to their song “Emerald Sword”. This song made me like this band, because it is really fantastic. I think that you can guess what I want to tell about these songs reading this band’s name. A special feature of this band is that their songs are based on a novel, “Algalord Chronicles”. The guitarist of the band, Luca Turili, wrote it. This story is a myth about ancient Europe. These songs are sung as the telling of a long story. So, we can enjoy listening to powerful music and reading a sort of novel. Nowadays, this band has changed its name to Rhapsody of Fire.

My Favorite Music

First of all, I like all kinds of music, but my favorite music to listen to is sad music. This music makes me feel comfortable and relaxed especially when the a music describes real stories. One of my favorite pieces of music that talks about real story is called City. And the story of this music it’s about one girl who was in love with a blind man; she loved him for a long time, and he was feeling bad, because he couldn’t see. All the time when he went to the hospital the doctors told him that he would never be able to see forever. One day, he woke up in the morning and his eyes got back, and he was able to see, and he could not believe that. The first thing he did was to go to tell his girlfriend that he could see; he was very happy. One day, he was very sick, because he had a cancer in his blood, and he had to go should go to another country to get cured, and he gave a promise to his girlfriend that he will come back. Once he was outside the country, he passed away. When his girlfriend found out that he passed away, she was crying every day until she got blind. This music is really sad, because we can see how is the love can drive people to some places that we do not expect.

My Favorite Singer

My favorite singer is Thongchai Mc-Intye. He has been the most famous singer in Thailand for 20 years. He is a very popular singer. In his childhood, he was very poor. He has 8 siblings and everybody loves each other. He worked at a bank and had a chance to enter a song contest. He won, so he became famous. He generously took care of his mother until she died. His age is more than 50 in this year, but he still sings and dances. All Thai people can sing his songs. He can not go to the public areas without body guards. His albums are always successful. It is especially true with his special song. One of the most famous songs that Thai people know is “Father’s tree”. Thai people sing this song to celebrate our king. In this song, father is the king of Thailand, and tree is his work. Our king did many useful things for Thai people and we love our king very much. Last month Thongchai just released a new album, but I did not follow it. I hope his songs will become famous like they did in the past.

My favorite singer is Avril Lavigne. Not only her music but also her personality fascinates me. She is Canadian. She was already a big artist, when she was 17 years old. She is 23 years old now. She writes her words and makes her music while playing the guitar. Her songs are written by feelings from her experiences in her life. For example, how she thought, what she did before she got her dream, her love, her idea. I sympathize with her music. Her strong words let touch me. Her performance is always powerful. Moreover, she doesn't care what people think about her, so she lives her way magnificently. I think she is so cool. Next, she sings peaceful songs for poor children, and contributes to them. I really like her activities, song, and personality. I respect her and she is my model in my life. That is why she is my favorite artist.

My favorite singer is Jolin Tsai. She is from Taiwan. She attended a singing competition when she was in high school. She did not win the championship at that competition but her music was noticed by some music companies. Her first album was released when she was a high school student. She was famous at that time. After a few years, she was just like a normal singer. Also, she had to face her contract problem and she disappeared for a couple years. After solving all the problems, she came out again and released her new album. This new album was totally different from her old style. She started to dance because she thought if she wanted to be a successful singer, she should try and learn everything. She was more famous than when she released her first album. She always showed the new thing when she published each album. She said she was not a genius but she learned everything by hard work. Now, she is a very famous singer in Chinese pop music. What I learned from her was that we would not get nothing, if we tried hard enough.

My favorite American musician is Stevie Wonder. He is African-American, and he is a blind. Actually although he is just blind, his music is such that nobody can copy his talent. Some of his songs were made for his daughter and family, and when he sings the song, everyone may be able to feel love in his song. I heard his song from MTV first. Maybe song title is “Lately” and “Isn’t she lovely”. At that time some blind African-American’s singing let me feel fullness of spirit in his song. That feeling was different from any other musician. After that I was interested in R & B and Soul music. Honestly, it was too difficult to understand whole lyrics, so I just felt the rhythm and mood of song. However, it was enough to feel his emotion while he singing. I still like him and his song, and lots of new artists may try to follow his style to make a better song. He might be just blind, but his song makes a lot of people able to see many different worlds in his song. So, that is why I like him and his song.

What's your favorite band or singer? why?

I was already talking about that last article. My favorite kind of music is pop. So I like pop singers. My favorite pop singer is Justin Timberlake. He was one of group members in a teen pop group. But now he has a solo album. He is celebrity in America. Most teens like him. Also he is popular in Asia. I like his song which is recently he published single album “What goes Around... Comes Around”. This song tells about love, but is not sweet love, it is sad love story. There is one couple but girl was gone but boy couldn’t understand. He got a pain because of her so he thinks that everything is back to her. This is not a dance song, kind of R&B song. I support that R&B is also one of pop genre. So I like this song and singer.

Hip-hop music

I like hip-hop music the most. Hip-hop music makes me feel higher and shake my body. And I really like when I listen to that kind of music inside my car while driving. I first was exposed to hip-hop music when I was a high school student. At that time, I was in England. So friends of mine and my host family let me listen to hip-hop music. I didn’t like hip-hop music at first, because there were too many bad words in the songs. But I was coming to like the rhythm of hip-hop music. Actually I couldn’t hear every lyric; I think I just liked the rhythm. I still can’t understand what songs tell about everything, but I still like it.

My favorite singer; Namie Amuro

My favorite singer is Namie Amuro. She is one of the most famous Japanese singers. She is famous not only in Japan but also in Korea and Taiwan. She is 31 years old now, and she has a son who is 11 years old. She has been singing for almost 15 years on TV. I like her because she is very cute and she is not only a good singer but also a good dancer even though she is over 30. She looks like younger than her real age. I want to be like her when I am 30 years old. Also, she is one of the fashion leaders in Japan. Her fashion style is very cute and fresh. I like her fashion. Her newest song is very good because it is so cute and sweet. She got the top 1 of the Japanese music ranking in this week. I like her very much.

My Favorite Singer

My favorite singer is Kyung-Hoon Min, a Korean singer, because I can sing his song well. Most Koreans like to sing a song and I do too. I often go to the singing room to sing a song. It’s a good way to deal with stress, but if you can’t sing a song well, you don’t feel much better. I think it helps me, at least in my case. His song is good and easy. Moreover, each singer has a different way to sing a song, and his way to sing a song is most agreeable with me. It’s why I can sing his song well. I like him and his song.

What's your favorite kind of music?

My favorite kind of music is hip-hop music because it makes me excited. I can say that one of my hobbies is listening to music. I usually listen to all kinds of music, but my one of favorites is hip-hop music. Sometimes I listen to both black music and Korean hip-hop. I listen to those kinds of music when I do something like riding a bycicle, driving a car, doing exercise, etc. At that time, it makes me excited and happy. Also, I think hip-hop music helps me concentrate, rather than disturbing me except when I study. And when I drive on the highway for a long time, I listen to hip-hop music because it doesn't make me sleepy while driving. Maybe some people or most people hate hip-hop, but I also like hip-hop's rhythm, rhyme, lyrics, etc. One of the reasons that I like hip-hop music is I like to play drums. Sometimes I listen to classical music also, because it makes me settle down when I get confused or have complicated problems. So those kinds of music make me feel good and I like it. -Moon-

Music, what is music? Music is good for people to listen to. I love the music that can let me feel rested; it can let me hear a lot from my deep heart; it can let me know and remember a lot of things. That is what I like, classical music. Classical music like piano is my favorite. When I feel sad or feel at alone in the night, I will turn off the light and lie on the bed, and look the beautiful sky with a lot of stars and listen to the music from the CD player. The room only has moonlight and player’s light is blue; you can know a lot of things and this make your heart keep quiet and forget every unhappy thing. Sometimes, it can allow me remember something from a long time ago. At that time you can wonder if you did right or wrong, it can allow you to think more and more. So this is why and how I like classical music; if you listen to classical music more, you will love it too.

My favorite kind of music is Rock Music, I love it best, because I think Rock is the good way to release me from pressure. When I want to relax myself I listen to Rock; it makes me feel more powerful. My favorite band is Linkin PARK, it’s a famous band in the whole world. The most popular song that they sang is Faint. It is the most moving song that I have never heard before; it always gets me when I listen. Sometimes my friends said that Rock is not for girls; I can not agree with them. I think music has no boundary at all, no matter whether you are a woman or a man, child or adult, white or black, etc. In addition, I think the life without Rock is not a life at all.

Rock all my life

I love rock &roll so much that my life is full of it. I set it to be the tone to call me to get up in the morning. At night, I sleep with it. The reason why I love it so much is that when I feel down, I used to listen to rock &roll music and as long as I hear it, I feel that everything will be better and nothing could stop me from moving on. When I am very happy after I accomplish my goal, I play the Rock & roll music to celebrate my achievement and I will feel that I have so much energy that I will be successful in what I am doing. Also, sometimes the song makes me move because it sang out the true feeling of the singers. And the song shows me their real life and the real world. So when I can feel that we are in common, which makes me love the rock music and admire the singers, because they have their way to express themselves. In addition, the rock & roll music also helps me to express myself . Over and over, I feel that the rock & roll is a crucial part of my life. If it disappears, I cannot imagine what my life will be.

My favorite kind of music is pop. Actually, i like all kinds of music. but the most favorite part is pop. That is because most people listen to music. Pop music is the most common music around us. It has a good point, we can listen to it easily, and we find it simple. Those reasons make me interested, so I like pop music. My favorite pop musician is Justin Timberlake. My Favorite Music

When I was a high school student, my friends and I played rock music by making up a band in a hand we made up. That’s why I like rock music. I like any kind of music such as pop, R&B, Hip-Hop and so on. However, I love rock music the most. I like its sound, but the other reason I like it is it reminds me of good memories of high school days with my close friends. I can’t play any musical instrument; however, my friends made me sing in their band. Therefore, I could spend happy school days. Now, our band has broken up, but every member has been playing their instrument in their band but me. When I listen to the music, I always feel happy because I was in our band. Now, I can sing songs only in Karaoke. It makes me feel lonely sometimes. However, I can say that I definitely love rock music.

My Favorite Kind of Music

My favorite kind of music is country music. I like listening to this kind of music because I feel comfortable. Also, it is easy to sing the songs for foreigners because the tempo and rhythm are not fast and the English is not difficult. My favorite country singer is Shania Twain. I like most of her songs. Her songs are very nice and beautiful. I often listen to the country songs when I am in my room or a car. Especially, I like listening to Shania Twain's songs in a car, opening the windows and feeling the wind. When I visited my friend's house in Minnesota, my friend and I sang her songs loudly in her car. We were so tired because we went shopping ad walked too much. However, it was very fun and comfortable.
